Douglas Arndt

Doug is a lifelong resident of Marion, Wisconsin, with deep roots in the community he serves. Licensed in insurance since 1979, Doug brings over four decades of experience helping individuals, families, and small businesses navigate their coverage options with confidence.

His practical approach to insurance is shaped not only by his time in the industry but also by years managing his father-in-law’s dairy farm. That hands-on, real-world experience gives Doug a unique perspective on the needs of rural families and business owners, especially when it comes to finding solutions that make sense for everyday life.

Doug believes in treating people the way he’d want to be treated: with honesty, respect, and straightforward guidance. Whether it’s planning for the future or protecting what matters most, he’s known for keeping things clear and focused on what’s truly best for each client.

Outside the office, Doug enjoys spending time in the woods, fishing, and tinkering in his workshop. A lifelong aviation enthusiast, he also enjoys flying and anything that gets him up in the air.

Emily Chagnon

Emily obtained her insurance license in 1999 after graduating high school, but her early career focused on veterinary medicine. She spent ~10 years working as a Certified Veterinary Technician in private practices across Wisconsin, where she developed a strong reputation for care, precision, and compassion.

Later, Emily joined Christian Veterinary Mission and spent 5½ years living in Uganda, teaching at the Veterinary College, mentoring students, and leading community outreach. Her time overseas strengthened her love for education and deepened her desire to serve others in practical, meaningful ways.

In 2019, Emily returned to Wisconsin, not for the weather, but for the people. She rejoined her family’s business, Woodside Financial Services, and brought with her a global perspective and a local heart. As a licensed health and life insurance agent, she specializes in Medicare, Marketplace, dental, vision, and life coverage.

Emily enjoys helping clients navigate their options with clarity and confidence. She believes in treating people the way she’d want her own family to be treated by listening carefully, offering honest guidance, and making sure each person feels valued and understood.

She’s married to Pete*, an avid outdoorsman who shares her love of adventure and helping others. In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with friends, reading, fishing, and traveling to speak at veterinary and community events.

Nola Arndt

Woman wearing black sweater and smiling with an Alaskan glacier behind her.

Nola may hold the title of Office Manager at Woodside Financial Services, but she’s involved in much more than just managing the bookwork. Though licensed in insurance, Nola prefers a behind-the-scenes role, where her attention to detail and steady presence keep the office running smoothly.

Her earlier years at the Marion Advertiser sharpened her typing and organizational skills—tools she now puts to good use supporting both clients and the rest of the team. Married to Doug and a dedicated part of the family business, Nola brings warmth, reliability, and a quiet sense of care to every task she takes on.

In addition to her many responsibilities, she also holds the unofficial—but very important—title of caretaker to the office cats. Outside of work, Nola enjoys gardening, cooking, quilting, watercolor painting, and exploring new places whenever she can.
